Stereo Image

The Stereo Image controls your perceived listening position relative to the piano by swapping the left and right speaker signals. By default, the Stereo Image is set to Audience, where you'll hear the piano as if you're watching a performance. In general, the low keys sound slightly to your right and the high keys sound slightly to the left. Setting the Stereo Image to Performer flips this perception, putting you on the piano bench, where the low keys sound to your left, and the high keys sound slightly to the right.

Example: You're using the Garritan Abbey Road Studios CFX Concert Grand to record a series of classical piano pieces that you've rehearsed. In your mix, you prefer that the listener feels as if they are at the piano, so you use the Performer Stereo Image and the Player microphone perspective.

To set the Stereo Image:

  1. Click the Studio button. The Studio view appears.

The currently selected Stereo Image setting is lit up.

  1. Click either the Audience button or the Performer button to change the Stereo Image.
